Guided by a University-level bass instructor and world-class conservatory graduate, the Atlantic Bass Academy offers instruction from the bottom up, serving beginners as young as 10, all the way up and through adulthood.

Beginner Bass Intensive!
Sign up for one of four spots in our Beginner Bass Intensive!
The Beginner Bass Intensive is a 12-week class with our instructor and three other students. Starting the first week of September and the first week of February, the BBI runs two courses a year, and teaches you the fundamentals of bass playing, including: how to hold the bass, how to hold the bow, reading bass clef, and the basics of strings, rosin, cases, bows, instruments, and everything else you will need to know to begin your bass journey!
One-hour HD Digital Lesson
Take lessons from anywhere in the world with a one-hour digital lesson with our instructor via MOOZ!
You will need a smartphone, tablet, or laptop/desktop computer with a camera, a good internet connection, and a quiet room.
HD Digital Asynchronous Lesson
Designed for students whose internet connection isn’t strong enough for a streaming lesson, and those with a busy schedule who can’t schedule regular lessons. Record a video of your playing, send it in through our online portal, and receive detailed, frame by frame feedback.

Youth Orchestra Coaching Session
Our instructor will visit your school and work with your orchestra’s low strings.
Band and orchestra directors will discuss the ensemble’s greatest instructional needs; coaching sessions can include orchestral repertoire, solo repertoire, fundamentals, and scales and etudes.
It is recommended that repertoire is discussed prior to the session; our instructor will send any music to be prepared in advance.
This service only available in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
